Katharine leads Sangha Strategies, a marketing agency for sustainability, with a vision that the best marketing brings people together: sangha means “community” in Sanskrit. (She is also an active yoga teacher and meditator.) Katharine’s career spans startups, Fortune 500 companies, and the nonprofit sector. She has 15 years of business and nonprofit management experience, is a PMP certified project manager (and Agile Scrum Master), and enjoys helping get the word out about things that matter. Why? Because solving climate change is not a technology problem. The solutions are here. We need sustainability marketing and communications that drives action, not just awareness. At Salesforce, where she worked for 5 years, she led market research projects, surveys, marketing strategy, planning, and implementation, and created marketing content to drive awareness and action - including thousands of research report downloads and millions in pipeline. Prior to marketing consulting with Sangha Strategies, at the Building Decarbonization Coalition, as a Senior Communications Project Manager, she led the launch of both new and refreshed website updates with a team of 15. Katharine also managed creative staff including video, graphic design, and a writer and collaborated with PR experts to support Switch is On consumer electrification outreach campaigns. Outside of work, she serves on Ava Community Energy’s Community Advisory Committee and her town's Climate Action Committee, advising on local policy.
